When I wrote this story about a small-town mayoral race, I thought Al Gore would be our next president. Sadly, he isn’t – and sadly our movie was never fully finished until now. Newtown blends fiction and documentary, mixing actors and 'real people' to capture how crazy the "American Dream" can become.
